Thanks for Ivann to reminds me write this tutorial.
Just like my review before, i say that this theme were AWESOME!. Great feature, good looking, and easy to post.
First time i got this theme, it packed into .rar files. Those rar file were containing 4 FOLDER.
- UPLOAD-INTO-PLUGINS
- UPLOAD-TO-ROOT
- UPLOAD-TO-THEME-ROOT
- UPLOAD-TO-UPLOADS
Those description is :
You must copy all files and folder inside those 4 folder into your server at the correct place.
Upload to Root means that all files inside this folder must copied into root. If your wordpress blog were the main domain, you should copy it into /public_html
Upload to Theme root means that you have to copying any file inside this directory into /public_html/wp-content/themes
Do the rest with files, and copied into exact location.
Inside folder plugin, you will see there are two plugin that include in this theme packet. That is Viva-ThumbZoom and zap_recent_commented. Activate this two plugins, because the Wordpress Advanced NewsPaper theme need it to maintaining commentz, and do the magic when somebody click your thumbnail to zoom it out.
How to setting WpAdvNewspaper Theme :
First, lets we see this screenshot, just click the image to enlarge it. Read the description that i have added into those image, it will have relation with the setting.

Ups, i almost forgotten one of the most important things, you MUST HAVE plugin to revealing post ID and category ID. To get more information about this plugin, you can read this post : How to show category ID in wordpress.
All you need to do is open the WpAdvNewspaper theme setting inside your wordpress, and fill the area with your own creation. In Setup Category ID area, you must fill it with ID of the category that you want to show. You can see this ID inside category setting when you have already activate Reveal ID for WP plugin.
Read the comment beside the filling area, read carefully, because that is the description how to fill it correctly. Just use the recommended post number by this theme, it will make the layout looks good (even you can fill it with any number by your own).
To show which category will be shown inside Gallery image, you can setting inside this area also. That is all you need to do. Not like the other wordpress theme, you need no filling CustomFields area, because this theme have script that make thumbnail automatically from image that you uploaded when you posting.
Just remember, that thumbnail will be shown only when you upload those image manually inside your own server. If you open image from another web url, it will not become thumbnails.
For the email subscription, you can fill it with your Feedburner url. This is the example : http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=wordpressthemetutorials
The minus point of this theme were in it’s WIDGET.
Too much widget that provide by this theme, sometimes it will confuse you. Just concern with the letter “R” after the name of those widget. For the example, if you fill something inside NpAdv_Widget1, your code will be shown after the default setting of NpAdv_Widget1, but if you fill those script inside NpAdv_Widget1_R, the default NpAdv_Widget1 will be 100% replaced with something that you fill it.
So, be careful when fill this widget, choose to add, or replace those widget with your script.

Oke bro, i have check your site. And it seems no image were shown at all.
First, i want to ask you, you have already build this site and you’ve just change it theme with this WpAdvNewspaper?
I mean that your latest post (Photo : testing satu dua tiga) were posted by your previous theme?
Some theme will force you to upload any images again, but this theme will not do that.
Question : have you upload all files needed for this theme?
Make sure that you have copy of this file into the exact location
1. UPLOAD-INTO-PLUGINS
2. UPLOAD-TO-ROOT
3. UPLOAD-TO-THEME-ROOT
4. UPLOAD-TO-UPLOADS
Please focus at the third step, many people forgot this step.
For the example if your site were installed here /public_html/blogg/
Then you should upload all files inside [UPLOAD-TO-THEME-ROOT] into /public_html/blogg/
If you do not do this, no images will show.

halo bung,..
ini masalah sering muncul.
1. Image harus di upload manual (mungkin u udah lakukan ini)
2. Pastikan bahwa folder “CACHE” di dalam http://tbld.org/wp-content/uploads/ sudah di seting permisinya ke 777. Soalnya kok aku lihat, file jpg disana itu kosong.
3. Kalo masih gak bisa,.. tolong coba re UPLOAD lagi gambarnya satu-satu.
kutunggu kabar berikutnya,.. (bisa atau tidaknya)

Hi Ashok,..
First, what is your web URL? so i could see your problems.
Second, have you upload all files that necessary?
There is 4 different folder that you should upload :
1. UPLOAD-INTO-PLUGINS
2. UPLOAD-TO-ROOT
3. UPLOAD-TO-THEME-ROOT
4. UPLOAD-TO-UPLOADS
If you upload on the exact location, your site will be running well.
Third, to get the thumbnail shown, you should upload the image into your own server. You could do this by click upload button when you make new posting. For the previous posting, you should re-uploading again.

my pictures are not showing on my page can you help me, when i tried to upload from flash uploader nothing happens, but when i use browse up loader the following error come, ( The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/jazbablo/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/12 )
i uploaded wordress in /www root , the files i uploaded in /www root can also be seen in public_html, what should i do now, every thing is ok, i made an upload folder in wp-content/uploads , if all other things are working then what the hell is wrong with pictures?

First of all i would like to thank for providing the best wordpress theme.
I am using it on my website http://www.zetacorner.com.
I have one issue with this template. and 3 requests for modifications
Issue: Unable to display thumbnails in the inner pages of the galleries.
Request for Modification:
1. need to display recent posts of a category in 1st to 8th spot below the photo gallery with showing only picture of first post(like breaking news)
2. Nee to add 4-5 Breaking news like categories above gallery.
3. i am unable to add breadcrumbs.
i am using 1and1 hosting, mysql5

one thing that i have to say is, i am not the one who providing and crate this theme, i just create a review and simple tutorial.
about your question :
1. if you want to show 1 post only in 8 category slot, all you need just log into your Theme setting. Please set this post for 1 post only. maybe in that setting you fill it with two. see the “Setup Post Counts for Mainpage”
2. i still not understand with this question, maybe you can give me more clearly description about it.
3. Cos i still not using breadcrums, i didn’t know how. What do you mean with cannot add? Is that an error shown, or it is not error but nothing show up?
please give me more clear description. I hope the first answer could help you.

I use this theme on two of my sites. The first is http://www.hohound.co.uk. Some of the thumbnails work, but when I upload a new pic into a new post the thumbnail doesn’t who in the image slideshow
I’ve tried clearing the cache but it has made no difference.
My other site the thumbnails don’t show at all. http://www.betcatalyst.com. I clear the cache and the pics comeback, but as soon as you refresh the page they disappear again.
I’m due to go launch http://www.hohound.co.uk soon and need the problem on the two sites sorted asap. Can u help me?

for the BetCatalyst site, have you already UPLOAD all of the file at the exact location?
when is see the image location, it seems as :
http://www.betcatalyst.com/wp-content/uploads/cache/1742_NpAdvSubFea.jpg
is that folder exist? please make sure that those folder were writable. set it as 777 (chmod)

Sorry for my English. I’m to use this them and have a problem with image slideshow. When i’m try insert already uploaded image to the new post, I just see “No foto avalibe” in slideshow bloc, but if click on this post, in opened window (with this post) inserted image can be see.

And one more stupid question: how insert “468×60 ad code” for header. I can’t understand what doesn’t mean “ad code”. I need insert my own image in this place. I tried insert simple path to this file (already uploaded), but all i see – this path.

That should be using html script, you cannot add only image url.
add this to that location :
Change the URL-DESTINATION with your own link, when your visitor click that image, they will redirected to that link.

Thanks for answer on my question. I tried do this. When I insert this code (““) in field “If you have activated header with ad, insert 468×60 ad code below – this ad shows on every page” (in admin’s menu “WpAdvNweespapper Them Settings”) on main page (and all other page) I see just white block where must be my image. What I do wrong?

i see that you has already add those script.
if you using “copy-paste” my script (from previous comments answer), please check this :
after a href=”xxx
please concern to this character ( ” )
re write the ” chars
sometimes, when we copy-paste from text, its little bit different, then the script is read wrongly.
If you still confusing about what i describe above, here is the description :
i see that inside your site were written like this : href=”http://shamus.webege.com”
it should be like this : href=”http://shamus.webege.com”
this character (“) written as (”). small different shape, but make a huge mistake.
this is not your fault, this is normal when we do copy-paste any script.
so,.. change it
href=”http://shamus.webege.com”
src=”http://shamus.webege.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/logo.gif”

Hi Puffstick,
Do you mean that you want to use your own image logo?
If yes, then you need to upload the image logo (Max Width: 390px – Max Height:100px), then on the Theme Settings, select image based logo, then put the address of the image logo.
Is this clear enough for you?
